Why KindStay exists

KindStay was created to bring humanity back into housing. In an industry too often focused on profit or numbers, we put people first - ensuring residents feel supported and landlords feel secure.

Our mission

Transform housing disruption into stability.

We connect homeowners with organisations who need trusted, short-to-medium-term accommodation — and we go further. With proactive wellbeing check-ins, guidance, and access to our wellness hub, we ensure every resident feels supported, not sidelined.

Our values

Integrity

We put people first in an industry too often driven by profit. Every partnership is built on transparency and trust.

Care

From resident wellbeing calls to landlord peace of mind, we ensure homes are more than temporary addresses - they’re places where people feel looked after.

Impact

We’re creating lasting solutions that reduce stress, build community, and set new standards for wellbeing in housing.

Our story

Melisa White, Founder of KindStay

KindStay was born out of lived experience. When I was evacuated from my home for fire-safety issues, I saw first-hand how exhausting and frustrating displacement can be - and how little real support residents receive.

With a background in technology, leaseholder advocacy, and mindset training, I knew housing needed a different approach - one that recognised the human cost of disruption and prioritised wellbeing.

That’s why I built KindStay - to challenge the status quo and create a platform rooted in care, fairness, and proactive support. Because housing should never just be shelter. It should feel like home.

Where we're going

We’ve validated our Wellness Hub with leading experts in the housing sector proving that accommodation can - and should - come with care.

By the end of 2026, our goal is to scale KindStay nationwide, setting a new standard in wellbeing-first housing and expanding into future models of supported living, including alternatives to aged care that put dignity and community at the core.
